GOTCHA is a macOS application for capturing screenshots, recording your screen, annotating captures, and sharing them via links. It is provided free of charge with 1 GB of cloud storage included.
You may use GOTCHA for any lawful purpose. You may not use it to:
You own everything you capture and upload. By uploading content to generate a shareable link, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and serve that content solely for the purpose of delivering the sharing feature. We do not claim ownership of your captures.
You are solely responsible for the content you share. Do not share screenshots containing passwords, private personal data, or confidential information belonging to others.
The free tier includes 1 GB of cloud storage. Files may be removed after extended inactivity. We do not guarantee perpetual availability of uploaded content and recommend keeping local copies of anything important.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms without notice.
GOTCHA is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use it at your own risk. It is ugly by design. Bugs are a separate matter.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of GOTCHA or the loss of uploaded content.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the "last updated" date above when we do.
